U.S. Crane and Rigging filed plans to build a warehouse and vehicle storage center on the south fork of the New River in Dania Beach.

The City Commission will consider the site plan for the 144,541-square-foot warehouse at 2980 S. State Road 84 on Sept. 14. New York-based U.S. Crane and Rigging has the 7.2-acre property under contract from the Robert L. Elmore trust, with Pamela Kay Harris as trustee.

U.S. Crane and Rigging wants to build a warehouse at 2980 S. State Road 84, Dania Beach.

The plan indicates part of the building would be used for manufacturing and a small space for office. There would also be outdoor crane storage and vehicle fleet parking. There would be 92 parking spaces. The warehouse would have clearance of 58 feet. The project was designed by RLC Architects.

Attorney Deena Gray, who represents U.S. Crane and Rigging in the application, couldn’t be reached for comment. The company currently has a location in Pompano Beach. This expansion is an indication in the company’s confidence in the growth of South Florida’s construction sector.

U.S. Crane and Rigging is also hoping to develop a neighboring property, which is across the city lines in Fort Lauderdale. It proposed a marine storage facility on that 8.5-acre site, which is also under contract from the Elmore trust.
